Classes
Beginner
Beginner classes explore the basic postures of yoga in an easy and assessible way. Courses intergrate and develop knowlege throughout each term thus allowing students to delve deeply into the practice and experience of yoga.
Courses are tailored to individual and group needs (no one class is the same!) so that students learn to practice properly and progress in an effective way.
The classes aim to support those with little or no yoga experience or people dealing with an injury. Props are sometimes used by beginners to support then to access poses that otherwise may not be atainable or just as a means for postural alingment so that the body can open and release.
Yoga for beginners is the first step on a journey of every increasing self-awareness, a greater level of strength, endurance, flexibility and a deeper sense of peace.
General / Intermediate classes
General / Intermediate classes are for students with at least 6 months yoga experience who are interested in consolidating and refining the basic yoga postures. Students are challenged to move from the basic variations of poses into more complex and dynamic postures (such as stronger back bends and the introduction of inversions). Practice of stronger postures allows students to begin to experience the deeper benefits of yoga on the nervous system, internal organs and glands, energy centres, and the mind.
Despite this more dynamic focus, classes provide space for each student to develop their practcie at their own pace and delve into specific areas of frustration with the teacher.Coming to Class
