While Yoga classes are an effective way of learning and practicing there may come a time when a students needs can best be served in a one-on-one setting with a teacher.
Just Be yoga’s approach is attention to detail as students are guided through asanas (poses). The one on one private yoga training format is personalized according to the individual’s experience and is tailored to meet the student’s needs and goals while respecting ones own capacity. The student obtains undivided attention as personal needs are met through careful examination and evaluation.
One-on-one classes can be booked for those wanting to develop a personal stretching program centred around their injury or their yoga practice more specifically. Initially, one or two sessions would be needed to develop a program. Thereafter, sessions would be needed intermittently to review the program and make changes in line with the students needs. Phone support is also offered to check in with how the practice is going and ‘troubleshoot’ if required.
When developing an individual yoga program an assessment is completed gathering information about an individual’s medical history, injury history, mobility, joint suppleness and areas of pain.
Reasons for deciding on a private yoga session may include:
- To create a strategy to influence change in all facets of your life
- Rehabilitation of injuries or working deeply on a certain troublesome area of the body
- Recovery from illness, or chronic pain
- Management of anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia
- Development of a customized daily practice

Benefits
Private yoga sessions are an excellent way to achieve the benefits of yoga, track your individual progress and address specific areas of practice. For some individuals private classes are an answer to the awkwardness of doing yoga in front of strangers at a gym or crowded facility. Each session is 90 minutes long.
Photo’s of the poses recommended as well as a commentary about the important points of each pose are given to students to assist home practice. This information is individually tailored to the students practice.
Having a program tailored to your needs has a much better chance of long-term change and success when compared to generic exercises.
